Are you interested in learning "HANDS ON" about Fire Service and Search and Rescue?

We are "FIRE EXPLORER POST 26," sponsored by the Bolivar Fire Department.

Fire Exploring teaches young adults 14-20, the skills needed to prepare them for a career in the Fire Service.  These skills are taught in station and outdoor situations that will help you in serving your community.  We also take "Time Out" to have social activities with other Explorer Post in our 31 counties.

If you would like to learn more about what we do, please email us.

Hello, my name is Robert Head, I am the Explorer Post President.   Welcome to our portion of the website.  I will explain some of the requirements for being an Explorer, but first, I would like to explain what we do.   We have a wide variety of duties, here are some examples, we train with the firefighters in normal trainings, and we also assist with public eduction on fire safety and awareness.  That is just a few of the things we do.  The requirements for being an Explorer are as follows:  You must be between the age rangers are 14-21 years old.  You must have an interest in the fire service.  And you must be willing to learn.

If you are interested or have any questions, please contact me by e-mail at bcfd134@yahoo.com.

Or attend an Explorer meeting at Fire Station #1, down town.   The Explorer meetings are on the 4th Thursday of every month at 7:30pm.
